The phone knows it's connected via hot spot, and thats where visible is limiting the speed so not sure how anything like that could speed up.

Hm, maybe, that seems like it was a simple map to try and convert. I put a lot less time in that one than Tazewell Co map. I don't have a lot of time to play these days due to other focuses but I'm curious myself. All I can say is maybe.

@@butterflygrovefarm I think it would it would do well in fs22, a lot of players these days love the homesteading style type maps. Yours in particular was so unique, and tons of fun! Thank you for hours of fun with the map, But I completely understand having no time, you have a lot going on right now!! lol.

That's sad, I did not know he had passed. I knew he had health issues, and spoke with him shortly before they closed. He did his best to not leave his customers without a dealer in the area. I knew he was trying to sell the dealership to someone else but the deal fell through for some reason. I assumed if it was a profitable business we'd still have an LS dealer in the area. I did not know how bad his health was. He was one of the few salesman that really cared about his customers and wanted to help them instead of just seeing the money. He was always genuine. That's a bummer.

My filters were all from my local LS dealer. He's out of business now, but any dealer can ship them to you, if you call them up they'll tell you what you need for the tractor. There may be aftermarket filters, but I went with OEM for this. I'd do that when tractor is under warranty. I recall stories from my dealer, and I think Messicks youtube has videos on where if you do have warranty problems, and they can point to you using a cheaper aftermarket filter, they may not honor the warranty. I would like to think LS would not do that, but best not give them any option there. The filter pack wasn't too expensive, I think it was around $80 for all the filters, but cannot really remember. Regarding the fluids, I just went into my local Deere dealer and got the correct viscosity engine oil. As long as it matches what the book recommends, it's good there and any local tractor dealer brand should work fine. Deere was the closest to me.

Yeah, are there any brands that come with a good one? It's kinda crazy it is such a huge weakness across every tractor brand that I can think of.

Just using it to relax, cool off(or warm up) and for breaks to camp some nights. It's nice! Not living out there yet, maybe later this year.

I actually never got in habit of swearing so it's never something I do, I don't even think about having to stop myself. But that was one of the most frustrating days out there. Can't believe I didn't think to get a wrench the first time I went into town, I was not happy, lol, or smart. Ha

lol, yeah, electronics just start to go when it gets old. It's one of the problems with tractors too. Buy older one with 20+ year old electronics but a lot of the modern emissions stuff gone, or buy new with it all at higher cost. I mean, I didn't have problems, they worked the kinks out and I think that's a big part of the hesitation back like 10+ years ago, things are better now, I just hate it long term, it's just even more stuff that can possibly go wrong. I like the fuel economy though!

Yeah most those rotary cutters have a spec for cutting up to 2" saplings. I've taken 3" down and thats probably not the best but it does it and works awesome. Now if it was a finishing mower, yeah that's another story and wouldn't want to use something like that.

Actually, the more I think on it, this is probably why different regions call the same thing different names. Back home where we had almost all grass and very few trees or brush, these were called rotary mowers. Down here, most people call them shredders, probably because that's mostly what they use them for like me. Then I also hear the name bush hog, rotary cutter, and brush hog thrown around too but one of those is just a name brand. But when I was first looking at buying people and manufacturers call them different things, its not like there is an industry naming standard. I found that interesting

Ah, good idea. It's amazing the thoughts that never enter my mind as a possibility. That would have made it a lot easier to assemble.

Yeah, when I looked at prices back at my old home it seemed like the markup for someone else installing was like double what it would cost to do myself. It saves a lot doing it yourself, and being off grid I don't have to worry about interconnection and inspections by utility etc.

It's high enough I can fit even a bigger 3/4 ton truck under just fine(although it's too long and sticks out the back), but because of the angle cars fit under just fine. I have other plans for under so don't want to close it in, as it would prevent using it for what I need. All good ideas though!

Yeah, it's going to be a sad day when I have to sell it to pay for the house, but by that point I'll have more than gotten my money's worth out of the thing. It helps me do so much more work so much faster than I could by myself.

Nails, if you see me using a tool, its a pneumatic palm nailer not a drill.

Most construction companies will use screws because they hold better.

@@farmercraig567 I don't claim to be an expert, but I did read that is a common misconception. Using the correct nail can actually hold tighter than a screw. I forget the documentation I read that in, but saw it in a few places, so just went with nails. Prior to reading that, I thought the same as those companies that screws hold better. I think generally that's true, but not in every application I suspect now. Anyway, we'll see over time, it's all exposed and can add to it later if it starts to get loose.

Did I use the term "solar shed"? Kinda how I think of it but because it will house the solar equipment, not panels. Kinda deceptive. I looked into wind, and don't think it's worth it. Ideally you need it at least 25 feet off the ground and a large clear area of 100 feet around it with no trees.

And then there's the whole problem of how to tie it into my batteries. My battery bus is 48V, and my options for windmills are very limited at that level, also I'd worry about my batteries. My inverters are smart and know exactly what the batteries are due to communications, with windmill I'd just have to set it to turn off at a certain voltage range, and then you don't turn off a windmill, you have to use braking resistor to stop it from spinning out of control when batteries are charged. It's a lot of extra equipment, expense and setup, I'd rather just buy a few more batteries.

Building DIY is really a lot of fun, and worth that, but honestly, based on the tools and stuff I have to buy and that I don't get any discounts like builders do, and with inflation, I probably would be better off paying someone else to build everything and be done cheaper and faster. It's a bit depressing.

@@butterflygrovefarm yeah bidenomics at work there. But like you said, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you did it on your own. I'm not sure where you're getting materials but ask for a military/ veteran discount. If you're using one of the big box stores I know they offer 10%

@@KerboOnYT Yeah, I guess I get frustrated with how much it actually costs it seems a lot cheaper up front, but because I lack experience there are always like 100 things I forget that I have to buy later that keeps driving up the cost. If I actually do the math I'm sure I still come out ahead like you say, but it doesn't feel that way based on how much I forget and have to go back and buy later to finish the project.

If only lol. I seem to always want to increase my eating to match, so not Hercules ever :(
